Contributor Day: Giving Back and Looking Ahead<\/h1>\n
We started the week by actively participating in Contributor Day<\/strong>, where we added our piece to the Credits Table<\/strong> and gained valuable knowledge about how to organize WordCamps<\/a><\/strong>. This was especially important as we are part of the organizing team for WordCamp Slovenia 2026 in Ljubljana<\/strong>. We also began discussions about sponsorships and potential speakers<\/strong>, so stay tuned if you want to be part of this milestone event in Slovenia.<\/p>\n A special feature of WCUS is the Showcase Day<\/strong>, a day dedicated to case studies and product demos<\/strong>. We would love to see something similar introduced at WordCamp Europe<\/strong>,<\/a> ideally with more data-driven presentations<\/strong> and perhaps even a dedicated track. A standout talk came from Weston Ruter<\/strong><\/a>, who shared innovative ideas on performance and speed optimization<\/strong>. This reinforced that WPM is on the right path,<\/strong> with a strong focus on real-world use cases, measurable impact, and client needs<\/strong>.<\/p>\n The official start of sessions gave us plenty of knowledge and food for thought. Danny Sullivan from Google<\/strong><\/a> confirmed something that we at WPM have long practiced: SEO success comes from helping users find what they need as quickly as possible<\/strong>.<\/p>\n We also attended the talk What Top WordPress Product Companies Do Differently<\/em>,<\/a> led by Matt Cromwell and Katie Keith<\/strong><\/a>. While we\u2019re not a product company, the insights into building SaaS tools<\/strong> were highly relevant. During breaks, we connected with Yuriy Gerasimov<\/strong> and discussed Diffy and visual regression testing<\/strong><\/a>, which is a very promising direction for enhancing our development processes<\/strong>.<\/p>\n The second day gave us more sessions, meetings, and networking<\/strong>, as well as some well-deserved gifts for our team back home. Another highlight was our meeting with the Atarim<\/strong><\/a> team, whose tool not only improves collaboration but also encourages companies to rethink internal processes<\/strong> that might seem \u201cgood enough.\u201d That\u2019s exactly where true growth begins.<\/p>\n We also noticed a recurring theme among several product teams: great technology also requires great storytelling<\/strong>. This is a reminder that even the most innovative solutions need strong marketing and communication strategies<\/strong>. The official afterparty at the World Forestry Center<\/strong> <\/a>offered a beautiful setting to wrap things up, although the location itself was more memorable than the program.<\/p>\n For us, WordCamp US 2025 was more than just learning,<\/strong> it was about the people we met, the partnerships we formed<\/strong>, and the momentum we\u2019re bringing home<\/strong>. We\u2019re grateful for every conversation, handshake, and shared idea<\/strong>.
