NSIOS.si

NSIOS – National Council of Disability Organisations of Slovenia is an extremely important non-governmental organization in the Republic of Slovenia, which seeks to connect all state institutions, organizations, groups, associations and initiatives of persons with disabilities of Slovenia.Since its inception, NSIOS has been caring, supporting and representing the interests of Slovenian people with disabilities, which are too often placed on the edge of the social agenda.

We realised the importance of the user experience, therefore we created a website, designed in a way that is easily accesible for all potential NSIOS users. In accordance to WCAG 2.1 it gets a AA+ grade.

We designed a website that is accessible to every user – regardless of the severity of physical dissability or dissfunction, while still modern and easy to use. With awarness of the challenges  the use of digital tools may present to our target group, we at WPM adjusted the way of movement, across the website, by using the TAB button to move to the next page and SHIFT+TAB buttons to move to the previous page.

We try to distinguish ourself from other providers by our level of innovativeness which is evident in this project. We wanted to make the entirety of the website's content accessible to it's users, therefore we placed the tools that are used to navigate the website, in a strategic place with accordance the wishes of our client.

Editing and any kind of chanes of the structure of the website has to be in accordance with the rules of website accessibility, which we followed consistently and managed to set up a special way of opening new tabs. This way, we provided users with a fast and elegant way to browse website content.

Content of every website should be legible, therefore we used a font that meets those stanadards. We focused on choosing a font that allows a shorter reading and word comprehention time, and aditionaly increased the line spacing.

Maintenance

Redesign of  National Council of Disability Organisations of Slovenia webpage is a big success in our eyes and a big contribution to the WPM company. We continue to work with our client with great pleasure and are doing our best to keep their website regularly maintained.
